BORA BORA TODAY

It is now 7am and the ship is entering the bay at Bora Bora. Finally we have a beautiful sunny morning and is 81F. Sorry I am getting behind on unloading photos on the blog but just too busy with tours when in the ports. Will have two sea days after leaving today so should get caught up. Anyway, yesterday in Moorea I took an "off road safari" tour in the morning. It was a 4 wheel drive vehicle seating 6 people in the back and we toured inland on roads that the normal tour buses could not go. Saw how the polynesians on the island lived and our driver told us all about the flowers and different fruit trees. Moorea was a VERY beautiful island and one I would definitely return to. They have pineapple plantations, avacados, pappaya, bread fruit, bananas, coffee, and several other edible fruits that I was not familiar with. This was a 4 hour tour so returned to the ship for lunch and then at 1:00pm Rebecca joined me this time and we went on a bus tour around the island. It was only about 50 miles to drive around the island but we went to some of the same places I had toured in the morning. It was cloudy in the morning but rained all afternoon. Wish we had this sunny weather yesterday. This morning we are going on glass-bottomed boat tour and this afternoon we are doing island tour by Le Truck so assume is will be like my morning tour yesterday. No dock so sitting just off shore and we have an incredible view this morning on our balcony of a hotel with rooms on stilts out in the water. Be back later. Need my coffee and will be time to go ashore.
