WE SURVIVED

Yes, we survived the “great storm”! Today is much better but ship still moving about some. Sun is trying to break through clouds but looks like we could have showers again this afternoon. Shows last night were cancelled obviously. We thought about just ordering room service for dinner but decided to brave it had head down to dining room. Luckily we had both showered yesterday morning because there was no way we could have stayed upright in shower during afternoon or evening hours. So we headed down to Voyager Lounge as it is mid ship and on lower deck (same as dining room). This is best location during rough seas. Had a glass of wine before heading to dining room. I was shocked as it was almost full. These cruisers are veterans so have their sea legs I guess. We both had sautéed calf’s liver and onions for our entrée. It was excellent. After dinner we went back to the Voyager Lounge as two of the young ship’s singers had cabaret show at 9:30. We slept pretty well despite the rough seas last night. This morning I received an email from our Cape Town travel agent with attached e-tickets and documents for our safari. I went down to the computer room and printed copies of them. Going to lecture at 11:00 entitled, “The Glories of Imperial Persia-Iran before the Ayatollah”. We both need to go to gym after lunch as could not yesterday. Our suite stewardess just came in to clean and said she was very sea sick yesterday afternoon. We left our “privacy” sign out on door when we went to dinner last night as did not think she had any business trying to work. She cleans our suite every morning and evening. Show tonight is the Las Vegas entertainer who’s show was cancelled last night.
