"LAND HO"

After 6 days of only water we are circling around the island of Nuku Hiva in the Marquesas Islands. Beautiful does not adequately describe the view from our balcony this morning. We will be anchoring off the coast (no dock here) and taking one of the ship’s tenders (life boats) ashore around 9am. It is 8am now and is 82F with lots of sun and very high humidity. We will be treated to a cultural show and lunch time feast by the local natives. Will be back later with another blog post about that experience. By the way, the time appearing on bottom of these blog posts is not correct.
