Port of Lautoka on Fiji

Sure enough we lost a whole day so today is Sunday for us. We were up early as had church service at 8:45. Our cruise director, Jamie, led the service. One of our fellow passengers played piano for our two hymns and Charlie Duke gave a personal testimony that was very inspiring. The financial lecturer and his wife sang, “How Great Thou Art”. We will miss the Dukes and Heaths as they are both leaving the ship here in Lautoka, Fiji. Lecturers and entertainers are leaving today and new ones are coming aboard. As I mentioned yesterday, we went to a dinner & cabaret show last night. I was not impressed with Marilyn Maye’s show. After that we went to the main show room for the Platters show. They were great once again and talked with them after the show. They are very nice folks. They are normally playing in Branson, MO, so if you have the chance I highly recommend going to their show. Ok, back to today! After church we went to gym and worked out. After this post we will go have a bite of lunch before leaving the ship for an excursion this afternoon. We are doing the 4 hour tour called, “South Sea Orchids & Fijian Artifacts”. Ship is sailing at 6pm for Vanuatu. Tomorrow will be another day at sea. We will set our clocks back another hour tonight. That means we will have to be online at 5am tomorrow for the Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church service on the internet. It will be Monday for us and Sunday for most of you. Tonight we are having dinner with our next door neighbors, Don & Caroline, who are from Nashville, TN. Beautiful day here in Fiji. Sunny and will be in high 80’s.
